BSEU was established in 1933 and today it is a leading higher education institution of economic profile in Belarus, which trains personnel of a new generation world-class economy and law. It was certified according to the International System of Quality Management (ISO 9001-2009).
Why
BSEU provides training for foreign citizens in all forms (full-time, part-time) and educational levels from the preporatory department and language courses to master's, postgraduate and doctoral studies. Education in possible both in Russian and in English.
BSEU has 11 schools, the Institute of Master's programs and 3 branches. One of the school's is a School of Pre-University training which was established in 1992 for the purposes of targeted recruitment of students for study in spheres of economic and law in Russian language. It has pre-medical branch also.

Annually about 3000 students graduate from the University with specialiation in Economics.
Among the graduates are Ministers of Finance, Trade, Foreign Affaires, Statistics and Analysis, Labour and Social Security of Belarus, Prime Minister of the State Planning Board, President of the Entrepreneurs and Lessee Union, Head of the Analytical Centre for the Republic President's Administration, President's Assistant-in-chief, Chief Manager of the Belarus Branch of the National Bank, President of Belarusian Labour Union, Vice-president of the Belarus government.
